IDEMA JAPAN will host a symposium focusing on the latest trends in magnetic recording technology and the prospects for HDDs and tape.
The symposium will bring together key players in the data center business and in HDD and magnetic tape to explore the frontiers of magnetic recording storage.

　　IBM will give a lecture on the development and production of LTO systems using magnetic tape.
■　HDD magnetic head and magnetic media suppliers
　　Headway and Resonac will give presentations on the next generation of HDD magnetic heads
　　and magnetic media.

With the recession in the HDD industry ending last year and the practical application of HAMR technology in full swing, higher-capacity HDDs are expected.
In addition, the importance of magnetic recording storage such as HDDs and LTOs in data centers and cold storage will increase as AI advances, data generation explodes and data storage becomes increasingly important.
